Hua Hua: The Gentle Panda Who Heals the World

Hua Hua (He Hua) is a giant panda like no other. Born in July 2020 at Chengdu’s panda base, she has short legs, a round fluffy body, and teardrop-shaped black eye patches that make her look like a cute rice ball. Unlike other young pandas, she moves slowly and has a quiet, peaceful personality.

She is famously gentle with her keeper, Grandpa Tan. Her calm bamboo-eating style has become a viral sensation. Thousands line up just to see her, and she’s now a cultural icon of Chengdu.
